[Moblog] Zen and Me

I am having authentic pierogies and brewskis (plus some excellent split pea soup) in west Chicago's Franklin Park / Mannheim Road with Überblogger ZenPundit. My flight back to Tennessee leaves in another two hours, so Zen was kind enough to pick me up at O'Hare (amidst weather reports of freezing rain) and bring me out for a great dinner.

What Dan said. Given the weather you guys might have an opportunity to breakfast together as well.

Soob of Little Faith, The planes are running on time at the World's Busiest Airport - probably because (a) it's Tuesday, and (b) it's warm enough for rain now instead of sleet. :-) I'm at the gate, as is the plane, and will be even more confident of an on-time 10pm arrival in TN when I see our crew....

That beer looks pretty weak to me. But it's American I guess...

Strat, Maybe so... But unfortunately Epic Pale Ale wasn't on the menu. :-)

It was great time.

Strat - the beer was Blue Moon -which was pretty good for the bar which ran toward the genre of old-stle corner tavern with Schlitz on tap and patrons rolling in after their shift. The regulars and staff were friendly enough though.

Shane / Zen - I've only been to the States once, for business back in 2000, mainly in San Diego. One thing that impressed me (apart from the enormous food servings that people got at restaurants) was the quality of the bars that I went to while in San Diego. I remember one in particular, a sports bar - great food, live sport, and very friendly but unobtrusive bar staff. Excellent!
